American Music Awards 2011 Winners in Nokia Theatre Los Angeles

At last night's American Music Awards 2011, there was Taylor Swift and there was everyone else. Donning an appropriately gold gown, she was the gold standard Sunday.

Swift took home top honors at the American Music Awards 2011 as the artist of the year.
"This is one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me," the singer, who also won that honor the last time this award show was held in 2009, said.
"Thank you to the fans. Please, never change."

Swift was also recognized as the favorite country female artist (a foregone conclusion), and her 2010 record Speak Now was dubbed the top country album.

The audience at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre was treated to a star-studded night of electronic, explosive, backing track-assisted performances, closed out by LMFAO.

The group delivered an appropriate medley of “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy And I Know It,” featuring a dance cameo by none other than Justin Bieber ...

Adele earned two awards including Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. However, the British star did not attend the ceremony since she is recovering from a recent throat surgery.

The show featured performances from the likes of Marc Anthony, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Daughtry, Enrique Iglesias with Ludacris, Gym Class Heroes, Lil Jon, OneRepublic, will.i.am, Mary J.
